Delicious and tender baby back ribs grilled to perfection with a homemade barbecue sauce.
1. Prep Grill
For a charcoal grill, ignite coals and arrange them on one side of the grill, waiting until they're covered with gray ash. Aim for a medium heat—you should be able to hold your hand 5 inches above the coals for 5 to 7 seconds. For a gas grill, set burners to high and preheat for 15 minutes, then adjust to medium heat.
2. Sauce Mixture
Mix the barbecue sauce with 1 cup of water until well combined. Set aside for basting.
3. Season Ribs
Thoroughly season both racks of ribs with salt and pepper.
4. Grill Ribs
Place ribs directly over the coals and grill for 25 to 30 minutes. Turn them every 5 minutes, basting with the barbecue sauce mixture, until meat is no longer pink in the center.
5. Serve
Remove ribs from grill, slice into individual pieces, and serve hot.
