1. Prepare Loaf Pans
Prepare your loaf pans by greasing two 9 x 5-inch pans with either nonstick spray or melted unsalted butter.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the all-purpose flour with active dry yeast, granulated sugar, and sea salt.
3. Add Wet Ingredients and Knead
Gradually pour warm water and melted unsalted butter into the dry mixture and knead for about 5 minutes until a smooth dough forms.
4. First Rise
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean towel and let the dough rise for about 45 to 60 minutes.
5. Preheat Oven
While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
6. Shape and Second Rise
Gently punch down the dough to release excess air, shape it into two loaves, place into the prepared pans, cover, and let rise again for 30 to 40 minutes.
7. Bake
Bake the loaves in the preheated oven for 35 to 45 minutes until the tops are golden brown and they sound hollow when tapped.
8. Brush with Butter
Optionally, brush the tops of the warm loaves with additional melted butter for a shiny finish and extra flavor.
